Jeremiah 29:11
”For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”.
Do you ever sit and look at others who are married, seemingly happy and living the life they had always dreamed of. Have you ever questioned God as to why them and not me? Do you ever wonder what it is that is so special about them that God has given them a mate and not you?
Have you ever considered the fact that God did not bring all marriages together? Do you know that being His daughter elevates the plans He has for you? Being single right now may be a show of how much God really and truly loves you. He wants to and will give you the best He has for you.
Job 1:1
There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
Job 1:8
And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
Remember the story of Job. He was upright, feared God, shunned evil and was called perfect. God thought very highly of Job. God suggested Job be selected to face the trials and tribulations that were to come. Job lost almost everything he had, including his life. He became burdened with sores, his children died, his wife told him to curse God and die, his friends were making matters worse, yet Job endured.
God knew his servant Job would be victorious. He knew Job would come out of this situation being better than he was when he went into it. God thought very highly of Job and knew he could be trusted. Looking at your life today, are you facing trials, tribulations and persecutions in being single? Are you doing all in your power to live upright, shun evil, study God’s word, remain celibate and pure, yet the ones who are living a life of lasciviousness are the one’s tying the knot?
Just like Job, God knows your situation. Be patient, prayerful and persistent. God blessed Job after he endured his trials. He can bless you too!!!
Job 42:10 And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. 11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the Lord had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold. 12 So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. 13 He had also seven sons and three daughters. 14 And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Keren-happuch. 15 And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
